1951 Born in São Paulo.
1961 Enrolled at Hildersham House Preparatory School, England.
1965 Entered Rugby School, England.
1966 Began studying Art with Prof. Fabio Barraclough, at Rugby School.
1968 Entered Haverford College. Also studied Art History at Bryn Mawr College, and Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania.
1969 Three month apprenticeship at an advertising agency, later incorporated by Leo Burnett.
1970 Invited by Prof. Paul Desjardins, to participate in the creation of the Comfort Art Gallery, at Haverford College, inaugurated with an extensive retrospective of William Blake's work.
Decided to continue his art studies on his own in London, where he lived for four years. During this period, he worked as an illustrator, translator, interpreter and, occasionally, as a marchand.
1973 The J.P.Lehmans Gallery of Grafton St., London, W.1 began to represent his work.
1974 Returned to Brazil. Married Sonia Ozi, and took up residence in São Paulo.
Did eau-forte metal engraving with Marcello Grassmann.
1976 Signed a contract of exclusivity with the André Galeria de Arte in São Paulo, for three years
1979 Travelled to England, France and Marrocos during five months.
1980 Organized the exhibition "Coleção Contemporânea" at the SESC vacation resort in Bertioga, São Paulo.
Did metal engraving with Romildo Paiva.
1983 Began to teach Art.
Worked as Professor of Drawing and Painting at the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios de São Paulo, until 1989.
1985 Lead the reoraganization commitee of the art courses at the Cultural Centre of the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios de São Paulo.
1988 Presented, until 1991, a weekly Drawing Workshop in a program produced by TV Cultura, São Paulo, called Revistinha. The program was awarded in 1988 and 1989 the APCA Prize as best television program for youths. The program was broadcast until 1991.
Inaugurated his own permanent Drawing and Painting Workshop.
1991 Established a Workshop at the Guignard School of Art in Alphaville.
Included in "Who's Who In The World - X Edition", USA, for his work as an art educator and artist.
Included in the "Dictionary of International Biography" (22nd. Edition), of the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, Inglaterra.
Included in th "Who's Who of Intellectuals" of the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England.
1994 Melhoramentos published his book À Mão Livre - A Linguagem do Desenho Freehand - The Language of Drawing), currently in its 7th edition.
Created, wrote and presented the series of 26 programs À Mão Livre - A Linguagem do Desenho, based on his book and taped at the SENAI studios for TV Cultura.
The Home Vídeo À Mão Livre was produced by TV Cultura.
1995 TVE, Rede Brasil, began to transmit, without interruption, the program À Mão Livre.
Transfered his residence and workshop to Itu.
1996 Publishes his second book on drawing techniques and materials, À Mão Livre 2- Técnicas de Desenho (Freehand 2 - Drawing Techniques).
Prepares a CD-ROM, based on his first book, À Mão Livre-Workshop de Desenho (Freehand - Drawing Workshop).
