The book "À Mão Livre" contains all the information that any person needs to learn how to draw: the fundaments of drawing, the creative process and draing the human figure. Drawing is more than lines on paper: it is the basis of any type of image and all visual activity. Through drawing, one learns how images work, which is very important in a world full of images.Drawing is also a very powerful educational tool, that stimulates the attributes of the right hemisphere of the brain and  develops visual perception as well as expression and creativity.The book contains more than 100 drawings done by the author, especially for the book, and reproductions of works by the author, great masters from the MASP collection and contemporary Brazilian artists. The book is also the basis of a 26 program series produced by TV Cultura and created, written and presented by Philip Hallawell. In August 1994, TV Cultura began marketing VHS videotapes of the series. |
